WOW! It's hard to believe that Christmas is just 21 days away! It seems as though we were just planning Fall Festival. Time really does fly when you are having fun.

Thank you, thank you, and THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our Fall Festival a wonderful success! The follow-up Fall Festival meeting has been postponed due to the flooding. All extra energy, and some that we didn't know we had, went into cleanup, storage, late nights, and busy weekends. Keep an eye out for the new meeting date and time and put your ideas in a mental ziplock and keep them fresh!

You have likely received your S.H.A.R.E.S. card in your child's backpack. Anytime you shop at one of the stores listed on the card, 3% of your purchase comes back to our school. If you need an extra card for a friend or family member, feel free to pick one up from the office.

It's the little things that add up to big things and we thank YOU for all the little things you do!!!

Welcome back to school!

It's hard to believe we've been back in school for 14 days! So much has been done. A very big THANK YOU to all of the parents who took time out of their busy schedule to come to our first Fall Festival meeting. We hope to see everyone again at our next meeting on September 16 at 6:30pm.

Thank you to all who attended the Back-2-School BBQ. A great time was had by all. Thank you to all that lent a helping hand.

Just a few reminders-

Our Fall Fundraiser is quickly coming to an end. All forms and money are due on September 15th. If you can lend a helping hand on Fridays for Hot Lunch from 11-12pm please let the office know.

We hope to see all of you at our annual Fall Festival on October 10th!

PTF would also like to invite you to the meeting on May 21st. This will be a very important meeting. This meeting will cover projects for next year and we will be voting on next year's board members.

Thank you to everyone who came to Open House! I know your kids were really excited about showing you all of their hard work. We had a wonderufl turn out last night. It was great meeting some new potential families as well as seeing our own families!

Here are some reminders for all of us:

1. Our Cookie Dough Fundraiserends March 5th. Everything neds to be turned in by that date.

2. Ariel Theatre feild trip on March 3rd

3. Please park in the designated parking spots. Thank you!

4. Speed limit in parking lot is 5 mph.

5. Spring Book Fair is April 14-17.

6. Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4-8.

7. Hot Dog Hoe Down is May 14th.

8. PTF Elections are in May.

9. Pastor Appreciation Chapel and Brunch is May 8th.

10. Clean-up Day with Lunch & Daycare. (Saturday)

Valentine Grams are going on sale February 5-12! Buy a card for 25 cents, put your friend or child's name on it, sign it, and the card will be delivered to your friend or child. Cards will be sold in front of the lunch tables after school. Can't make it here right after school? Send Mrs. Mickel an email. :)

Oops! I posted this on Mrs. Tesmer's page last week. Here it is in its rightful place.

WOW! What a crazy-BUT FUN!-week this has been! Thank you, Student Council, for the wonderful days that you planned this week. I never thought that I would see so many different teams together in one place wihtout any arguments. Twin day was my favorite. Although I didn't ask anyone to be my twin, it was fun trying to figure out who was whose twin. (Great job, Rebecca and Mrs. Mickel!)

PTF would like to take this moment and give a very big and heartfelt THANK YOU to all of the wonderful parents who lent us a helping hand in our health and safety fair. We know a few of them said that they, "didn't do that much," but in reality you did! PTF wants you all to remember that even if it is only 15 minutes of help or doing a little something at home for us or a teacher that it is a GREAT BIG help.

This was our second Health and Safety Fair and I would like to think it was a lot of fun. I really do think that the kids enjoyed the Fire Department and the ASPCA visit. Susie, a very well trained dog, was here and I actually think she upstaged the firemen. We will get back to you on that.

We do hope that you take a moment to review the information that your kids brought home. There is was some great information given out like homework helping tips, anger management, dealing with divorce and separation, and brushing tips. We have even learned that we should all have an animal emergency kit for our animals. If nothing else, I hope that all this information along with the kids talking to you about their day has opened another line of communication between you and your child(ren). Take the opportunity and enjoy the moment!

Check out E-Script.com! They have an online mall with over 100 stores. It's a good way to get online Christmas gifts and to make a contribution back to the school.

Mark your calendar! January 22, 2009 from 9-11am will be our Health and Safety Fair. If you know anyone in the health, dental, or safety fields, please leave their name and contact information in the office for Mrs. Tesmer and she will contact them. This is an educational and fun day for all. We will be having a nutritionist, a dentist, orthadontist, highway patrol, and the fire department.

If you have any toys you no longer use and would like to dnate them for use in daycare, please leave them in the office. We are also looking for G-rated VHS tepes that the kids would enjoy watching on rainy days.

PTF would like to wish everyone at PCCA and LLPS a very happy Thankgiving!

We know that during the holidays, families are always cleaning out old toys and puzzles. If you have old games with all the pieces or old puzzles with all the pieces that you are getting rid of, please dontate them to the office to be put into our daycare room. We are also looking for G-rated VHS tapes that the kids can watch in daycare on rainy days.

Thank you to all the volunteers who have taken time out of their busy schedules to help with the hot lunches on Fridays. We are still looking for helpers on December 5th and 12th and for the months of January and February. If you can volunteer for an an hour and a half, please leave your name and number in the office or email the office at rmickelpcca@gmail.com.

PTF is looking forward to having a Health and Safety Day on January 22! If you have signed up to help, look out for an email wtihin the next week. If you would like to help, please contact Mrs. Tesmer or leave a message and your call will be returned.

Just a friendly reminder: Sally Foster orders are being delivered today. Please take a moment to look over your orders. If anything is missing or broken, please notify the office so we can get a replacement. The office must be notified by 4pm on Friday, October 24.

14 more days until Fall Festival and everyone is busy getting ready! If you have volunteered for anything and need help, please speak up and we will help! We have our final Fall Festival meeting on September 30 at 6:30pm.

We are still looking for volunteers for setup and clean up, donations of soda, water, cakes, cookies, and donations of used uniforms.

Thank you to the ladies who have volunteered for lunch help! The kids and PTF really appreciate all of your help and smiles.

It's hard to believe that in FOUR WEEKS Fall Festival will be here!

Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to lend a helping hand. There is still time and plenty of things to be finalized. If you would like to volunteer, stop by the office and leave your name and information.

We will be having one more Fall Festival meeting on September 30, 2008 at 6:30pm. We are looking for donations of soda, water, used uniforms, cakes, cupcakes, and cookies.
